DISTRICT COMMITTEES

The District has 3 standing committees, as shown below.  Two to three community volunteers are wanted for each of these committees.  If you have skills to bring to a particular committee area, please contact the committee chair.
 
From time to time, the District will establish ad hoc committees to work on short-term projects (e.g., staffing, facilities).  Notices about these opportunities for community involvement will be published in Water Notes and on the website.

CAPITAL PLANNING ADVISORY COMMITTEE - Steve King, Chairperson

Responsible for the analysis of and the recommendation for future CIPs. The management of CIP application, project management and completion requirements will be the responsibility of this committee.

COMMUNICATIONS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ADVISORY COMMITTEE - John Calzada, Chairperson

Responsible for developing a plan for the District to improve upon the current methods of providing information to the ratepayers of the District in a timely and effective manner. In addition, the committee will recommend methods and means of improved public relations in all areas of customer interface. Responsible for the development and updating of the District’s Water Conservation Plan and the Water Alert Management Plan. The committee is also responsible for planning, advising and recommending a program of water conservation and use annually to keep the community informed on issues of conservation practice.

FINANCE & AUDIT ADVISORY COMMITTEE - David Burling, Chairperson

Responsible for initiation of, compliance with, and development of all budgetary and financial planning, reporting and advisory notification to the District, including the use of grant funds. Additionally, on-going analysis of and recommendations regarding the financial structure of the District, its financing opportunities, requirements and needs is part of the committee’s charter. Routine financial reporting and audit are included in the responsibilities of this committee.
