Utility Maintenance Program

District Asset Management Plan

Management of the complex infrastructure for the District requires a plan for routine utility maintenance.  EAWSD developed a District Asset Management Plan  in 2016, which describes the District’s maintenance programs.  Some elements of the District’s current preventative maintenance program include:

District Asset Management Plan

Wells

  • Depending on available funds, one or two well casings are cleaned each year.
  • Well master meters are calibrated annually.
  • Well motor control cabinets are inspected and examined by infrared for poor joints, weak fuses, bad insulation, etc.

Booster Pumps

  • Booster pumps are lubricated twice a year.

Pressure Reducing Stations

  • Pressure reducing stations are rebuilt every 4 years.

Disinfecting Equipment

  • Disinfection agent feeding equipment is rebuilt twice a year.

​Tanks

  • Tanks are inspected annually.
