Responsible for building meaningful relationships with other governmental entities and/or representatives including elected officials,  to advance District initiatives that protect the interests and resources of its ratepayers, taxpayers, and customers; and to proactively communicate recommendations to the Board of Directors on relevant local, county, state, and federal legislation, regulation, ordinances, adoption of strategic objectives, and solicitation of outside funding. In addition, the committee commits to delivering an annual legislative report on its activities in the interest of maintaining its transparency.
